The short answer

Treat it as a fit assessment. Check the event against the service on offer, the venue's address and the authority that applies, then reply with the decision and the reason. The event manager engagement selector helps compare the type of support the event needs.

Planning support is available across Malaysia. Kuala Lumpur, Selangor and Seremban are the main areas, and elsewhere the work is mostly remote. On-site support and travel are agreed for the brief.

Assess the fit, then say so plainly

Start from what the event needs: planning support, a project lead for the weeks before, or someone on site. Then ask whether that can be done at the venue's location, on the dates, and on terms agreed for the brief.

The answer is either "fits as scoped" or "fits with changes", such as more remote support or separately agreed on-site terms.

What to verify for an enquiry outside the three areas

  • What is the venue's exact address, and which local authority covers it? Answered by the enquirer, then confirmed by the provider from that authority's official portal.
  • Which support does the event need, and can it be provided remotely? Answered by the enquirer and the provider, in the scope.
  • Does the event need someone physically present, and is that feasible for the dates? Answered by the provider, in writing for the particular brief.
  • Are travel and on-site terms agreed, and who bears them? Answered by both parties, in writing before anything starts.
  • If it does not fit, who else could help, and what can be shared as a self-serve checklist? Answered by the provider, in the reply.

How an outside enquiry differs from the three areas

Our main areas are Kuala Lumpur, Selangor and the Seremban area including Nilai; the Seremban council's own site lists Bandar Nilai among its towns. Other places in Negeri Sembilan and other states are mainly served remotely.

A place just outside is not assumed to be near, or far. Confirm the address and its authority first, such as DBKL, MBPJ or MBS where it sits inside the areas, or the relevant council's portal where it does not.

Worked example · Fictional example

A fictional outside enquiry

Fictional organisation and figures, for illustration only.

A fictional professional body asks for support on a forum at a venue outside the three areas. The assessment finds that the planning pack and remote project support fit, and that on-site presence needs separate agreed terms.

The reply offers the planning scope and says that attendance on the day is agreed separately.

Handle it in-house, or bring in help?

Your team can usually handle this when

  • An organiser who only needs a planning checklist and can run the day with its own team.
  • An event inside the three areas that was described as outside by mistake.

Outside planning help earns its fee when

  • The event needs coordination or on-site presence outside the three areas and terms must be agreed.
  • The venue's authority and logistics are unclear.
  • The committee wants a candid fit assessment before committing to anyone.

Want a straight answer on whether your event fits?

A planning diagnostic can review your event, the venue address and the support you need, and give a written fit assessment with reasons. Send the venue address, the dates and the support you are looking for, and we will reply with the level of support that fits and what it would cover. Travel is agreed in writing.

Questions organisers ask

Do you cover all of Negeri Sembilan?

Yes. Planning support is available across Malaysia, mostly remotely. On-site support elsewhere is agreed for the brief.

Will you travel anywhere?

Yes, as agreed for the brief. Travel and accommodation are charged when they are part of the agreed scope.

Can remote support work?

For some tasks, yes. The scope says which.

Is there a local office?

No. We plan remotely and arrange on-site support and travel as agreed in your scope.
